I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families better understand learning, behavior, emotional well-being, and child development through comprehensive psychological assessment, consultation, and practical, evidence-based recommendations. I believe a thoughtful evaluation can provide clarity, answer important questions, and serve as the foundation for helping a child thrive at home, in school, and beyond.
I earned a Master of Science in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, receiving advanced training in psychological assessment, child development, counseling, behavioral intervention, consultation, educational law, ethics, and evidence-based practice. My professional preparation included a supervised clinical internship followed by several years providing psychological services in public school settings. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work closely with children across a wide range of developmental, emotional, behavioral, and learning needs.
I believe that a meaningful evaluation goes far beyond standardized testing. Every child has a unique story, and understanding that story requires integrating developmental history, behavioral observations, interviews, rating scales, school records, and input from parents, teachers, and other professionals. My goal is to provide clear, comprehensive answers that lead to practical recommendations families and schools can confidently implement.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping parents navigate the special education process. I strive to explain assessment findings in clear, understandable language while empowering families to become informed advocates for their children. I also value working collaboratively with educators, physicians, therapists, and other professionals because I believe the best outcomes occur when everyone is working toward the same goals.
In addition to assessment, I have a strong interest in supporting children's social and emotional development. Skills such as emotional regulation, resilience, executive functioning, healthy relationships, and effective coping strategies are essential for both academic success and overall well-being. My approach emphasizes each child's unique strengths while fostering confidence, independence, problem-solving abilities, and emotional awareness.
Above all, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care. My goal is for every child and family to leave the evaluation process feeling informed, supported, and equipped with meaningful guidance that promotes growth, confidence, and long-term success.
